Come join us in welcoming your newest art subject, the ever-so-charming, Ryan Redwood to The Jam for our highly anticipated, and kinda spicy, sip and paint event!

Dear Creative Diary,
I don’t know exactly how this happened—but somehow, somewhere between the brushes and the bold ideas, I’ve found myself co-hosting an art event where people gather to paint a nearly naked man named Ryan. While sipping wine. In public. Twice.
I wish I could say I planned this, that I mapped it all out with intention and a well-structured timeline. But let’s be honest—this whole thing started with a “What if?” and a nervous laugh, and now we’re prepping canvases, stocking mini wine bottles, and coordinating apron logistics like it’s a totally normal thing to do.
And you know what? I love it.
The first event, Paint Misbehavin’, hasn’t even happened yet (June 20 is coming in hot), and already we’re gearing up for round two on July 5. That one? Oh, just Ryan—our wildly confident, ever-game muse—posing in a kitchen scene, wearing nothing but an apron and a smirk. It’s giving “hot buns and gingerbeard,” and somehow I’m supposed to keep a straight face while people try to paint the shadows with dignity.
It’s a little wild. A little weird. And it’s absolutely working.
What makes it even better? We’re not doing this alone. Our friends at ADK Creative Works are right there with us—bringing actual instruction to the mayhem. So while I bring the wine, the chaos, and the venue, they’re calmly guiding people through how to turn this spicy kitchen fantasy into actual, frameable art. Honestly, it’s the balance we all need. Because without them, I’d just be handing people brushes and saying “Good luck with the glutes.”
There’s this unexpected magic in the room already—even in the planning stages. Something about giving grownups permission to play again. To blush. To laugh. To make something weird and wonderful just for the joy of it.
So yeah. I have two nights of painting Ryan in various states of apron-related undress. (And I’m thinking I need a couple more!) We’re doing it. People are buying tickets like it’s a Broadway show. And I’m just over here trying to figure out if I need a glitter emergency kit and how much wine is just enough.
Here’s to art, mischief, and fully committing to the bit.
Love,
me
