Qigong at The Jam

Dear Creative Diary,

Okay so… Qigong. (Chee-dong? Key-gong? Qwee-gon-g? Ugh- I’ll work on pronunciation later.)

I haven’t done it.
Not unless you count flopping dramatically into bed while exhaling and declaring myself “one with the universe.”

But now it’s happening twice a month on Sundays at The Creative Jam, and honestly? I’m intrigued.

Qigong at The Jam

It’s supposed to be all about gentle movement, breath, energy flow, and grounding your nervous system—which, let’s be real, sounds like exactly what I need after a week of running on caffeine, glitter, and existential questions about supply orders.

Even better? It happens right before the sound bath, which means I, and my fellow Jammers, can flow, breathe, swirl your chi or whatever, and then immediately lie down and vibrate into a new dimension while someone plays magic bowls. That’s a solid Sunday right there.

Am I nervous? Maybe a little.
Am I flexible? Debatable.
Am I going to try it? Honestly, yes. Probably in leggings that haven’t seen a gym since 2018.

But that’s the beauty of it, right?
The Jam is a space for trying new things.
For getting weird and grounded and breathy and still.
For saying, “Sure, why not?” and discovering my hip does, in fact, make that noise now.

So Qigong, I’m coming for you.
Slowly. Curiously. Probably barefoot.
Let’s move some energy and see what happens.
