Dear Creative Diary,
The tourists are coming.
Thousands of them. Flip-flops. Floaties. Family-sized SUVs.
Pouring into Lake George like glitter spilled across a map.
And some of them?
They’re gonna wander into The Creative Jam—sunburned, curious, holding iced lattes and vague expectations.
They’ll look around and immediately start second-guessing themselves.
“Is this a store?”
“Do I have to sign up for something?”
“Wait… am I even creative?”
Bless their sunscreen-slicked hearts.
And that’s why I created The Jam Stand.

No registration. No judgment. No one hovering with a clipboard.
Just a shelf (fine, a bookcase) filled with little creative projects that whisper,
“Hey… you wanna try something?”
They can grab a kit for as little as $3 and take it with them—
to the beach, the cabin, the porch, the hotel room with mystery carpet and questionable lighting.
Or, for $10 more, they can stay. In the air-conditioned, cabin-core, mildly mystical magic of Creative Jam and make something right here.
Paint a birdhouse. Or a unicorn. Or a picture frame.
Stick tiny flowers to things. Use tiny shiny things to create ‘diamond art’.
Make a pressed flower bookmark and pretend it’s for a friend (it’s not—it’s for them, and we both know it).
Will they? Who knows.
But the invitation is there. The shelf is full. The space is waiting.
And honestly? I hope they say yes.
To the project.
To the moment.
To their own messy, wonderful creative weirdness.
Come check out the DIY projects available for purchase on The Jam Stand right here at The Creative Jam!
I’ll be here. Glue on my hands. Glitter in my hair. Watching it all unfold.
More soon,
Creative Jam
