There’s a lot happening at The Creative Jam right now—new classes, new faces, maybe even a rumor about a male model named Magic Mike (more on that later). But today, we need to talk about a quiet, slow-moving, utterly radiant superstar in the south-facing window of the Creative Jam:
Aloe Drama Queen! The Aloe is Blooming.
Yes. Blooming.
If you’ve ever met an aloe vera plant, you know they’re not exactly known for theatrics. They’re chill. They mind their own business. They sit in the corner absorbing light and vibes like introverted desert witches. But this one? She’s showing off.
After years of steady growing, watching, waiting, and surviving at least one accidental under-watering situation (we don’t talk about that), she’s decided this is her moment. And honestly? Same.
The Creative Jam aloe is putting up a tall, alien-looking bloom stalk that has all of us circling like proud plant parents at a preschool performance. It’s weird, wild, and weirdly emotional. Because, of course, we’re seeing ourselves in it. Aren’t we always?

The Late Bloomer Energy Is Strong
Here’s the thing: an aloe vera plant doesn’t bloom on demand. They take their time. They grow underground before they grow upward. They need light, warmth, and a whole lot of patience.
Sound familiar?
At The Creative Jam, we see this kind of bloom every day—just, you know, with fewer petals. People walk in unsure of what they’re capable of. They sit down, try something, mess it up, laugh, try again. Then one day they look up and realize they’ve made something beautiful. That’s the bloom.
This plant? She’s just reminding us that growth doesn’t have to be loud, fast, or public to be real.
Bloom Watch 2025: You’re Invited
The aloe is currently on display in her usual sunny spot, holding court like the queen she is. Stop by, say hello, and maybe sketch her if you’re feeling botanical. We can’t wait to see what color they will be- red? yellow? orange?
We’re not saying she’s our new mascot—but if she starts handing out creative advice, we won’t be surprised.
